2010 Changes to DWI Laws in Missouri
In 2010, new laws were passed in Missouri in regard to DWI prosecution. Drivers found with excessive blood alcohol content levels (.16 or above) will now face increased penalties for a DWI conviction, as well as limited options for obtaining a restricted license. Additionally, the offender will be required to complete a court-ordered treatment program and Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program (SATOP). Continual alcohol monitoring is also required.
