What You Need To Know About Missouri DWI/DUI Laws

In 2010, significant changes were made to Missouri DWI laws. The biggest changes affect drivers whose blood alcohol content levels are .16 or above. These individuals now face increased penalties if convicted. A prior offender faces a minimum mandatory 10-day jail sentence.

Changes To Missouri DWI Laws In 2010

In 2010, new laws were passed in Missouri with regard to DWI prosecution. Drivers found with excessive blood alcohol content levels (.16 or above) will now face increased penalties for a DWI conviction, as well as limited options for obtaining a restricted license. Additionally, the offender will be required to complete a court-ordered treatment program and Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program (SATOP). Continual alcohol monitoring is also required.

If you have been charged with DWI and your BAC level was .16 or higher, I can explain your legal options and help you seek the most favorable outcome possible. As a DWI attorney, I am known for going the extra mile for clients. As a former prosecutor, I understand how the other side approaches a DWI case, and use that knowledge to effectively work on my client’s behalf.
